About the AHCT

Spanish classical theater, the comedia, is one of the most remarkable theatrical phenomena of the West: more than a thousand playwrights and over ten thousand surviving plays, with an influence that reached all of Europe and the Americas and has never stopped growing.

Founded as a non-profit organization in 1984, AHCT is dedicated to promoting and fostering a deeper appreciation of that theater in performance. About the association →
